I'm a bit confused and wondering how exactly does the whole Virtual Trucking Company thing works?? considering the factor's that 18 WOS hauling and ALH are both Standalone games and do not have the capacity for MMO which would be understandable. just how exactly does it work?

The whole point of a vtc is to give a trucking game more of a real feel. At most vtc's you have the option to either be a company driver or be an owner operator. You will be assigned a company trailer which in most cases will have the logo of the vtc you are working for on it to give it more of a realistic look to it. You will then be "dispatched" by the vtc to haul a load for the company. After that you keep track of your loads with a log book. The company will then "pay" you for the loads you haul with virtual money. Some vtc's might have a virtual store of some kind where you can "buy" stuff with the virtual money you make. If you explore other forums and find the links you will find a few and I mean a few good vtc's left. Most of them are fly by night operations ran by people who have a reputation for opening and closing them quickly. Hope this helps.
